Two Killed In Wrong-Way Accident In Tulsa

A wrong-way accident on Will Rogers Turnpike has left two people dead.

According to troopers, a vehicle was going east when it collided with another car head on. Both drivers were killed instantly.

It is unclear at this time how the woman got on the wrong side of the road. Troopers do not believe alcohol was involved. The investigation is ongoing.

In a separate accident on Jan. 15, a woman was killed when she sped through the intersection of 36th Street North and North Cincinnati and struck a Ford truck. Police estimate her speed at 75 to 80 mph.

The collision caused her SUV to catch fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Truck was transported to the hospital in serious condition, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. There is no further information available at this time.
