A woman was hit and killed in car accident on a busy street in South Tulsa. The woman was trying to cross the street near Riverside Drive when she was struck by a passing motorist late Wednesday night, according to Tulsa police.
The driver of the vehicle told the police he did not see the woman until it was too late. The impact of the crash knocked the woman on the ground. Police say the woman was cited in a fender bender and was crossing the street to Blockbuster to call a cab. She was crossing back to her vehicle when she was struck by the car.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Tulsa police. The driver is not currently facing any charges at this time.
