A tractor-trailer accident involving two semi trucks on U.S. Highway 75 near Ochelata, on Tuesday, sent one man to Tulsa Hospital.
The crash aftermath blocked the northbound lanes of the highway for more than two hours according to Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
While the names of those involved in the accident have not been released, authorities have said the drivers were both males. A medical helicopter airlifted one of the victims to a Tulsa Hospital.
A semi tractor-trailer was pulling out of a truck stop when it was struck in the rear by a northbound “PODS” storage truck at about 3 p.m. The driver of the PODS truck was pinned for quite a while, according to police. Ochelata fire and Oglesby fire were able to release him.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Oglesby, Ochelata and Ramona fire departments along with Bartlesville Ambulance Service and Washington County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
