Skip to main content is reporting that an early morning trucking accident between an automobile and semi has injured two people I-44 near Yale in Tulsa. According to the report

A driver and passenger in a car were transported to a Tulsa hospital after their car was struck by a semi on I-44 early Tuesday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened near the Yale exit.

Troopers say the truck driver was apparently changing lanes and the car was in the driver’s blind spot.

A second semi was unable to avoid the accident and struck the first semi tractor trailer in the rear.

The photographs from the collision show the devastation a semi can cause to a normal automobile. Safe lane changing techniques are an important part of defensive driving for commercial drivers and in fact part of the countermeasures encouraged by the The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for commercial drivers.

We hope the occupants of the automobile were not seriously injured.
